Shaklee Basic-G
Bacteria, fungi, and viruses can wreak havoc on your family's health and safety. Used as directed, Basic-G tackles over 40 of these pesky microbes (see below), including several animal viruses. That makes it an excellent choice for use in the kitchen, bathroom, or pet area. In addition to being economical - one quart makes up to 64 gallons - it's also EPA registered. Shaklee Basic-G is a cleaner formulated for killing germs. It is sold as a concentrate, which allows you to vary the cleaning power, 3/8 tsp. in a pint of water is sufficient for cleaning most surfaces. It is available in a quart container which will make 64 gallons of disinfecting cleaner. At this dilution for a spray unit and in similar dilutions for larger amounts of water, Basic-G is safe to use around youngsters, pets, those with compromised immunological defenses, respiratory problems and airway issues. It’ll look like plain water and have a hardly perceptible smell, however; it is forceful, even when watered down as instructed in a 16 oz. spray bottle. It is also certified kosher.
In The Kitchen
- You can use Shaklee Basic-G to disinfect cutting surfaces, counter tops, tables, refrigerators and appliances. However, Basic-G is not food-safe, so any surface that comes in contact with food should be rinsed thoroughly with clean water after application of Shaklee Basic-G. The product has been shown to be effective at killing many food-borne bacteria, plus viruses and fungi, so it has many applications in the kitchen.
In The Bathroom
- Since many of the germs in a household seem to get concentrated in the bathroom, bathroom cleaning is an ideal application for Shaklee Basic-G. Surfaces in the bathroom do not even have to be rinsed, unless it is likely they will come into contact with food or other items that may be placed in the mouth. In addition to killing many viruses and bacteria, Basic-G also kills three fungi including the fungus that causes athlete's foot.
In Pet Areas
- While Shaklee Basic-G has been proven effective against many airborne and food-borne bacteria and viruses that affect humans, it is also effective against several diseases that can affect animals. This makes it ideal for disinfecting areas that are frequented by pets -- litter boxes, sleeping areas, chicken houses, pet doors -- any hard surface that frequently comes into contact with animals. Again, though, if you choose to use this on any food or water dishes or items that the pet may lick or chew, be sure to rinse it thoroughly with clean water and allow it to dry before allowing the animal access to it.
