Digestive Enzyme Support

Digestive upsets can be uncomfortable and embarrassing and leaves you with limited food choices.  But digestive enzymes can help.  All living things need enzymes in order to maintain a healthy life.  They aid in our digestive process and protect us from disease.  What are digestive enzymes?  When we eat food, digestion begins in our mouth.  Digestive enzymes are found in saliva and in our stomach to break down the foods particles into ever increasingly smaller particles.  If the enzymes didn't break down the food, our bodies would not be able to absorb the nutrients in the foods we've eaten and we would become malnourished.  As our food moves through our digestive system, digestive enzymes are throughout the process working hard to ensure that our bodies get as many nutrients from our foods that we can.

Because we consume so much refined and processed foods, not to mention cooked foods, we do not ingest as many enzymes in our foods as we once did.  This causes some of our internal organs to work hard at replacing those enzymes when they could be using some of that energy for other functions.  If your diet does not consist of the FDA recommended amounts of raw fruits, vegetables and grains then you may notice digestive upset, and those around you might notice your digestive upset too.

Digestive enzymes aid in alleviating discomfort from gas and bloating, the digestion of fat, protein and carbohydrates, and helps with "problem foods" like dairy products and gas-producing vegetables like beans and broccoli.

EZ-Gest contains enzymes similar to those found in products like Lactaid® and Beano® but unlike single-function digestive aids, it has multiple enzymes to offer comprehensive support.  EZ-Gest is certified both Kosher and Gluten-Free.
